Not completely sure if this is the right place to report this, but it seems like http://jsbsim.sourceforge.net/ has multiple links to the old Sourceforge repository (for example the "suggestions" -button). If the website is still used, I guess those could be updated?

Hi @valtsu41, thanks for your interest in JSBSim.

You are correct on both topics: this is the right place to report this issue and indeed the website is quite outdated.

In the very short term, I'll try to fix the broken links later this week.

In the longer term, the problem is that there are only @jonsberndt and myself who can modify the website files in SourceForge (one needs an SSH access to do so). I guess we need to migrate the website in a repo (it's a static site anyway) so that more people can participate to its maintenance.

This should be fixed now and the website now redirects to GitHub wherever it makes sense.

I have also just created a new repo JSBSim-Team/website that contains the sources of the official website. The sources are quite old-fashioned with respect to 2021 standards 😄

Anyway if someone wants to be involved in the maintenance of the website, they can submit issues and/or pull requests.

This is also the opportunity to transfer this issue to the new repo website where it belongs.

Congrats for having opened the first issue regarding the official website ! 👍 🎉

The question of websites – and where the official domain name should point – has been on my mind lately. We ought to discuss this.

I guess so. At the moment, I have just updated the HTML files in http://jsbsim.sf.net but we might consider migrating JSBSim website altogether as a GitHub Pages website. This would allow maintaining the website as a git repository with all the bells and whistles that GitHub provides that help maintenance (such as Issues and Pull requests).
