@Siedlerchr Sorry for the delay!

For whatever reason, it's working today.

Previously, it would display the message "Copied xx to clipboard.' but it actually wasn't being copied.

I'm running the portable version (I lack admin privs on this host). I noticed that it automatically opened the bib file I was previously using. This suggests that it is saving preferences somewhere. Where do they go? Maybe if I could reset everything, I could replicate the issue.

I looked in %AppData%\..\Local\org.jabref\* and %AppData%\org.jabref.gui.JabRefGUI\webview and don't see any preferences there.

I found "JavaSoft" in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software .. is this all of the saved states?

I deleted it (and all subkeys) and restarted JabRef and it's working fine.

So I don't know what the problem was before.
