macOS 12.2.1

Checked with the latest development build

  • I made a backup of my libraries before testing the latest development version.
  • I have tested the latest development version and the problem persists

Steps to reproduce the behaviour

  1. I tried to import a bib file from my drive. (Open library -> select bib file -> Open
  2. It showed "Connection error. For input string: "<<<<<<<<<<<". A local copy will be opened.

Hi, seems like something is wrong with your bib file. It seems the bib file is connected to a shared database that cannot be opened correctly.

The issue could also be coming from a merge conflict with git. Can you attach your bib file or send it privately to web@jabref.org ?
