This is a forked version of @AllGray's original PocketDESK. It is the same, but will be maintained by me and will have all bugs stomped out as promptly as possible.

Introducing PocketDESK

What is PocketDESK?.

PocketDESK is a way to run the normal Desktop GUI on your PocketCHIP without any hassle.

Does the keyboard work? Yes sir

Does the touchscreen work? Yes sir

Can I run this next to the normal PocketHome? YES SIR

The install is super simple. Flash the 4.4 PocketCHIP image to your CHIP and plug it into the PocketCHIP. Run these commands in your terminal:

sudo apt update && sudo apt install git

git clone https://github.com/Jalonzpa/PocketDesk.git

sudo ./PocketDesk/PocketDESK.sh

(This can take a while. Make sure to be patient!) That is it. Do a reboot and you are good to go.

How to use!

The point of PocketDESK is that you can switch between the normal Desktop GUI and PocketHome

PocketHome: (See... I put a button there for y'all)

PocketHome_logout

Desktop:

Desktop_logout

In the login manager you click and choose the desired GUI version:

Change_wm
