Virtual Tiddler: An Issue or A Feature #7018
Comments
hmmm, I think this should have been a discussion. ... IMO it's a "constructed" effect of the cascade mechanism. So it's a feature. |
@kookma -- I did just import your virtual-tiddler.json to TW v5.3.1 and it works as described. I think this issue is not really actionable, because everything seems to be all right. I think the finding you describe and the term "Virtual Tiddler" is OK. So you may create a post at Talk in the "Tips & Tricks" category, where you can include your virtual-tiddler.json file so the info will be accessible for a broader audience. Afterwards this issue could be closed. or @Jermolene could convert it to a discussion here at GH? |
If this is a feature, I can create a PR to add this to documentation. |
I think it's a possibility to create custom ViewTemplates where an author does not know the tiddler title in advance. I think it's a good example for the cascade mechanism. |
Describe the bug
Using Tiddlywiki 5.2.3 I can create a virtual tiddler.
I discovered this feature during development of my new plugin called TiddlyWiki Garden which is a playground to learn Filters and CSS.
