Cannot create distributable with Java 17 on MacOS #1666
Comments
I have this exact error as well. When I run the codesign command in the terminal there error is that libskiko-macos-*.dylib is already signed |
I ran into the codesign issue as well. I have not found the cause of the error yet, but Java 18 (preview) seems to work. Could be a bug in Java 17 maybe. Hopefully it can be worked around in Compose. #1613 |
Downgrading to Java 16 fixed this for me. |
This might be https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8276837. If so, and the fix is not backported, not sure what kind of a workaround is possible. |
just FYI, JDK 19 EA seems to work for me, but well... "early access". 😬 |
I decided to update my application to Java 17 recently and have run into a few issues, one big one was that creating a distributable for MacOS would refuse to work.
I tested this on a fresh application with Gradle upgraded to 7.3.3 and Compose 1.0.1
Here is the stacktrace gradle provides
Here is what it outputs to the JPackage.err file
