1.6.1 gradle plugin is incompatible with Kotlin 2.0.0-RC1 #4597

Yes, this should be fixed in 1.6.2, which is coming out shortly. |
@m-sasha I have noticed that 2.0.0-RC1 is supported in Multiplatform Compose, but not yet in android. See the android repo which as of now does not have an RC1 version yet. I noticed the android version for another recent kotlin version came out days after the Multiplatform version. Can I ask for some clarification on this? I thought that the android compose compiler was upsteam so therefore it had to be prepared first for each version, before Multiplatform. What am I missing? |
@eymar Can you answer? |
We started to provide CM compiler plugin for new kotlin versions as soon as possible without waiting for JC compiler release. |
Describe the bug
When testing compose multiplatform with Kotlin 2.0.0-RC1, I see the following failure in gradle at configuration-time.
Versions
To Reproduce
Checkout this branch and try to sync the project in the IDE: slackhq/circuit#1006. In my case I was using Android Studio Koala alpha 04.
Expected behavior
I expect it to not crash the build
