• we didn’t need open_fds_src so put open_fds into info.ml to make my_metrics.ml has only time involving stuffs
• our open_fds code were only returning the counts now and we wanted more info, so we researched but couldn’t find a good way so decided to let this in this state and move on to another for now + we don’t have the socket part yet as well
• Attempts to implement log:
  • We wanted to inspect how log works in Dream repo - found get_request_id in log.ml but not sure whether we can expose this
  • tried to adjust the code from line.132 let report, and assumed that we probably need ?write to put write options
  • wondered why Dream uses Log.Make and assumed it's because there is log initialize. so maybe we need to write as log initialize_log ?write -> but then not sure about continuing to implement with ?write
  • created an example with w_log_collection + dune build
  • checked the opened issue for log, started to research ocaml's read stderr but after the research still not sure the usage
  • ocamlunix/pipes.tex's multiplex should be a very relevant material
  • captured what are we doing in channel. this channel is for stderr. the number 0 and then 258 was the length we want
  • redirect_stdout + read write
  • dst means destination
  • then implemented stderr but we don’t have logs yet
  • tried: oldstdout -> src, newstdout ->dst, but this wasn’t the one we want
  • maybe we should: either duplicate stderr or using subprocess..
  • we weren’t sure but tried to compile anyway. -> seemed some were ok like middleware but not sure about the different destinations -> should raise further questions to the opened PR (mentioned above)
• Leave the log part for now, need to prepare to upstream our dashboard
