This plugin currently only supports web. It could support desktop platforms by calling native libraries.

I only created this plugin for a specific hobby project, that only runs on web (for now). So to me, desktop support is not a goal. But contributions are welcome, of course :)

I'd much rather see drag & drop added to Flutter itself: flutter/flutter#30719.
