How to Contribute

1. Dataset Contribution Guidelines

  • Ensure that your dataset is relevant to veterinary science or related fields.
  • Clean and organize your data before submission to maintain consistency and usability.
  • Include a brief description of the dataset's content, its source, and any relevant information that may help users understand its context and potential applications.

2. Hosting Large Files

Due to GitHub's file size limitations, please host large datasets (exceeding 100 MB) externally on platforms like Google Drive, Dropbox, or similar services.

3. Providing Dataset Links

After hosting your dataset.Within your contribution's directory provide the following details in the Readme.md file:

  • Name of the dataset
  • Brief description of the dataset
  • Link to download the dataset from the external hosting service

Ensure the link is publicly accessible and does not require special permissions to download.

4. Submitting Your Contribution

  • Fork this repository and create a new branch for your contribution.
  • Place your dataset in an appropriately named directory within the repository.
  • Create or update the text file as described above.
  • Submit a pull request, clearly outlining the changes you've made and why they are valuable additions to VetDataHub.
