The use case would be a newer local libdiscid where an old libdiscid is installed system-wide.

I want to note, that there is a reason Linux and most other UNIX-like don't usually search for libs and executables in the current directory: That is in general a security hazard, especially when the "current folder" is a folder where other users can write to.

I don't expect libdiscid users to walk around as root in public folders just to access the cd drive. So we should be "fine".
