Change trttf! and tfttr! to be mutating functions #3

Despite the ! at the ends of the names, these are allocating functions, not mutating. I would appreciate having a mutating version and have the allocating versions (trttf and tfttr) just do the allocation and call the mutating version. Again, I am happy to create a PR for this.
