Recording as root doesn't really work well when interrupting the record process. The perf.data file is corrupt then, probably because the perf process isn't getting shutdown gracefully.

Considering the sorry state of kdesu{,do} and gksu{,do}, I think we'll have to find a different way to solve this task. I now actually think that temporarily elevating the perf rights like through my perf-init script is the way to go.
