Describe the bug
files are created by "Save as", but empty

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. create a fresh profiling
  2. view the results
  3. Export the data
  4. See a zero byte file with no message and no content in stderr

Expected behavior
exported data

Version Info:

  • Linux Kernel version: several versions, newest 5.15.74
  • perf version: 5.15
  • hotspot version: hotspot-v1.4.0-x86_64.AppImage

Heh, indeed - and it only happens in the AppImage but works fine in the normal build!
