What are our core dependencies for RP-0? Those things which we require the user to have installed in order for things to work. Ideally, as a lightweight RO experience, these should be as few as possible.

Since we require RealismOverhaul, that already gives us a list of things which we know will be installed:

  • AJE
  • DeadlyReentry
  • EngineIgnitor
  • FerramAerospaceResearch
  • ModuleManager
  • ModuleRCSFX
  • RealChute
  • RealFuels
  • RealSolarSystem
  • TACLS

In addition, we require:

  • SXT
  • ProceduralFairings
  • KerbalJointReinforcement

As I understand it, CTT and it's dependencies are all we should require (in the simply working sense of the term). Then we just have 'suggested' mods, which would be what we think the bare minimum mods necessary to finish the tech tree without being scott manley and while still having fun. Which would obviously include RO, the above 'required' mods, and probably a major part pack or two.

Just wrote this in the other issue, but PFairings needs to be added to the list, unless one doesn't plan on launching probes, and even then you'd want/need the proc interstage. We should not have requirements beyond that, however, IMO, with the possible exception of Proc Parts.

As for non-part mods, KJR should be added to the list. I'm surprised it's not already listed as a requirement by RO.

Added to the top node. (Please feel free to edit it and add deps/recommends; it's essentially a wiki for collaborators.)

KJR is listed as "recommended" by RO. If you want to change that, I recommend you take it up with the KJR maintainers. ;)

I think you mean the RO maintainers, and yes, I'll talk to myself and @RedAV8R. :)

KJR to a requirement is a go!

And the CKAN is updated. Installing RealismOverhaul will now pull in KJR. :)

I know that @NathanKell has been telling me new assumed requirements, but I can't remember what they all were. Was one SXT? Halp!

SXT and Procedural Fairings, yes.
