I'm finding the same thing. In Better thermostat I'm seeing this:
So it looks like the real TRV is somehow turning off the Better thermostat? Currently I've set an automation to check and turn on any BT's that are currently off every 10mins. |

Can you try to downgrade to v1.2.2 instead of the current realease v1.4.0? Does it make the situtation better?
:D |

Hello BT Friends,
I'm currently facing a challenge and just can't seem to find a way forward. My wife is right when she says that this whole situation is slowly driving me crazy.
To give you some context: I've already read through all the posts on this topic here, but none of them have been helpful.
Let me elaborate on the problem. I've integrated several Tuya Zigbee Thermostatic Radiator Valves (TRVs) into my Home Assistant (HA) via ZHA, and they worked without any issues for a year.
About a week ago, I decided to try out Better Thermostat to group multiple thermostats and integrate window contacts. Initially, everything worked wonderfully, but gradually, all TRVs stoped working. The heating function was grayed out, and in the ZHA integration, the temperature was set to 5°C. Unfortunately, they don't return from this state on their own unless you click on the heating icon.
Despite thorough research and reading several posts, I haven't found a solution. Even if I set up "Better Thermostat" without window contacts and only perform regulation, each thermostat eventually ends up in the described state.
Interestingly, the same problem occurs when I remove the TRVs from Better Thermostat and let them run in their original integration via ZHA, just like they did without any problems for a year. The only solution seems to be removing them completely from ZHA and reconnecting them. As long as I don't integrate them into Better Thermostat, they work flawlessly.
My suspicion is that Better Thermostat is somehow altering something in the regulation of the actual thermostats, but I haven't found a solution for it.
Perhaps one of you has an idea? Currently, I'm at work, activating the TRVs every 5 minutes so that my wife doesn't freeze at home.
Many regards
