Awesome Information Science

A curated list of information science books, tools and resources.

Information science (also known as information studies) is an academic field which is primarily concerned with analysis, collection, classification, manipulation, storage, retrieval, movement, dissemination, and protection of information.

Although data science and Information science may seem to be similar, data science is heavier on mathematics and computer science while information science is more concerned with areas such as library sciences, cognitive science and communication. Awesome lists related to these other areas can be found under the Related Heading.
