You can now use the ``uncompressed_pdf``, ``full_fonts``, ``hinting``, ``dpi`` and ``jpeg_quality`` parameters that are included in ``**options``. * The ``cache`` parameter can be included in ``**options`` to replace ``image_cache``. If it is a dictionary, this dictionary will be used to store temporary data in memory, and can be even shared between multiple documents. Using the samples from https://github.com/CourtBouillon/weasyprint-samples the 'report' sample is much much larger when produced on v57 vs 56.1.
To replicate run in clean place:
Observe the following are installed:
The existing report .pdf is ~700K
Recreate with v57
And the PDF is 5meg
Switch back to v56.1
And the PDF is back to ~700K
The image object in v57 seems to be a different type and not very well compressed:
In v56.1 it is much smaller:
