PROBLEM biosphere3 database

Hi guys could u help me in restoring biosphere3 database? It disappeared and i cannot see it anymore. I also tried to redownload!

Could you give us some more info so we can try to help you?

1. What did you try to do before this happened? What kinds of things did you do or were you working on?
   • e.g. did you make new databases, or did you delete the biosphere
   • The more information the better here.
2. A screenshot of your AB right now
3. The version of your Activity Browser (go to top left, Help > About Activity Browser, this will have the version number in bold)

thank you for asking. Simply I cannot find the biosphere datas anymore..

Thanks for sharing the screenshot.
As you don't have any custom databases in the project, I would suggest deleting both databases (right click on the database and then Delete database). This will give you the button to import default data again. Using that will re-install the biosphere database, after that you can re-import ecoinvent again.

Could you share the output of the terminal (black screen with white text)? I'm hoping you're getting some error or other notifications that help us figure out the problem.

Just start Activity Browser, try and install the biosphere and copy-paste all the terminal output.

Thank you, Marc, but i cannot comeback with the biosphere database. I click on the import new database > and it's not happening anything.. the error message is too fast to be visualized.. in the terminal i cannot see any error message..

I recorded the screen and in 1 msec this message and nothing more was happening.. :(

Could you do the following and give me the information?

• Close Activity Browser
• Close Anaconda Terminal
• Open Anaconda Terminal
• Do conda activate ab, then activity-browser
• Try to import Biosphere
• Close Activity Browser
• Copy-paste all output you got from the terminal

This will help us understand what the problem could be.

Thanks a lot for sharing. I think this problem may be related to the newest version of Activity Browser.

Could you try and use an older version and see if that works?

• conda deactivate
• conda create -n ab292 -c conda-forge activity-browser=2.9.2

You can then use it like so:

• conda activate ab292
• activity-browser

You only need to use this version to install the biosphere. You can then use the normal ab environment again.

Okay we were able to test the following on another macbook and this worked for us:

Could you try this and see if that works?

• conda deactivate
• conda create -n ab28 -c conda-forge activity-browser=2.8 bw2io=0.8.8

You can then use it like so:

• conda activate ab28
• activity-browser

As last time, you only need to use this version to install the biosphere. You can then use the normal ab environment again.
