I tried converting a couple of records created in Stage in the Moving Image Video templates. On conversion, the MARC value for Leader/06 was a. This value is correct for textual resources (book and serial) but is incorrect for other resources such as video. For video it must be g. I am not sure what piece of information in the template controls this value, or if it just got hardwired into all the conversion generally.

This is a showstopper for records for non-textual materials, as the Leader/06 tells the system what type of content it has and also controls the meaning of the rest of the Leader values.

We have only developed MARC conversion thus far for book material. If we decide to move into video materials in production, we will need to add to the conversion program (thus an enhancement request rather than a bug!)

Thanks, good to know.. I guess that's why nobody's using the music templates yet. I was trying to figure out what sinopia field controlled that. It'll be interesting to see how tis works out when we expand.
