I found out i just got an update and noticed there's no MIDI devices list. I thought it's a feature, but I couldn't get my MIDI keyboard to work.

Description

When I click the gear icon by the instrument and mouseover the MIDI menu item it shows two check boxes "Input" and "Output" instead of lists of MIDI devices. MIDI devices menu is missing also in the instrument's MIDI panel as seen below.

You mean I should post some logs? I'll try tomorrow if I don't forget to. If you meant something else, please clarify.

@fraunos, how are you installing and launching RC5? Are you doing it from the .AppImage?

If you're doing it from the AppImage, please start the AppImage from terminal and copy/paste the output here.

If you are compiling from source or downloading from an ArchLinux style repository, please explain that clearly as we don't build any of the 3rd party copies of LMMS that are in the wild.

@fraunos Could you check the MIDI interface? You can find that in setting dialog. Please try changing that to ALSA-Sequencer if you can. Note that the change applies after restarting LMMS.

Sorry, I had to send my laptop for service. But I started configuring my desktop for lmms and the same problem appears.
@tresf I've got Manjaro Linux (based on Arch), so I just used yaourt (AUR) installation.
@PhysSong Maybe this is important - device I am using is connected through USB. I tried all sorts of combinations.

Settings provide only text input, so I've got not idea what to type in (it was 'default' at default).

Maybe I should also note it worked before (maybe on lower version), but UI changed a bit (there's no devices list) and I can't get it to work.

Weird. I just rebooted, changed the device to 'hw' and it is fixed.
