Express vhosts falls back to xhr

For some reason websockets are failing when using express vhosts with socket io. I setup a quick repository of my code that shows how its falling back to xhr.

That sucks, but it sounds more like an issue of connect instead of socket.io as regular HTTP/HTTPS servers do not suffer from this
