This is an addition effect not a problem

A number of Leds moving from one end to the other. Based on a frequency/BPM best. Then stacking at one end, Bouncing back or skipping back to the starting end.

I am still moving through the effects to see if there is all ready anything similar.

This would ideally work across a few devices - In that setting like sticks of falling water.

Have a look at scroll and give its settings a tweak.

Unsure what you mean by your last sentence.

Effects spanning across multiple devices is implemented in our dev branch and will be released in our 1.0 release - no ETA.

Thanks - I'll look at scroll.

The last sentence - up to 8 sticks hanging from the celling with pixels falling from the top of each based on the beat/engery/etc. but not all exactly the same. If that's 1.0 that cool.

The scroll effect is good, but doesn't stack. It would be awesome to fire a number of pixels from one end based on a frequent (normally base) then have them stack at the other!

When would the stack reset?

When full.

Another option might be to scale the number of pixels across different devices to keep them in sync or allow different size ones to fill up... differently!

Effects are device and layout agnostic at the moment - appreciate the idea about keeping it in sync but it adds a whole 'nother layer onto what is already 2 (or 3, I forget) layers of complexity.

I'll have a think of how to make the effect you're thinking about - no guarantees!

Thanks I really appreciate it. It would brilliant.
That's why it was think of the scaling options pixel number as a faction of the device length. Then they should roughly be in sync?

@dan-buckley I'll play around with it soon, been looking for new effect ideas. If you have any more definitely let me know!

@hypnotica Adding "Sparkles/Glitter" to effects can look good.

So having a bass pulse with highs creating random sparkles.

Also Scroll (from one end) pulsing on bass, but brighter and/or faster depending on the bass. So a melodic round bass would create a softer pulse. A harder more attacking bass would create a brighter more aggressive pulse.

I'll think about some other option - some of these might just be configure what's there better :)

Thanks

Real strobe sounds like exactly what you're looking for! I would however like to experiment with adding the mid/high sparkles to other effects, or perhaps adding some other bass hit modes to real strobe.

Real strobe is quite aggressive - I'll check it out - as long as it can be soften with a decay - so that it pulses. Please let me know if you have any questions.

FYI
I have 4x 2m diffused light sticks (using WLED and Quin-Digi) that I use to support a DJ setup. The overall idea is to have a few scenes with different levels of intensity.
From Early on gentle rolling warm-up.
Through to smashing it aggressive strobing eye blinding make it stop - well maybe not quite that much :)
