Readability - Explain the advantage of asking for a permanent order after10 day emergency order expires

The emergency order is supposed to last for 10 days.

Later, the judge can make the order permanent if the landlord does not
fix the problem right away."

Deleted text about a permanent order for now, because why would a tenant want a permanent order if their landlord does not follow an emergency order? Need more better explanation in future for this subject.
