Assymetric on master password. (RSA)
Symmetric on each item with master password's plain text as key (AES) combined with a unique IV (initialization vector) for each one.
IV doesn't need to be secret, can be stored on its own column, plain.
All encryption/decryption performed client-side for integrity, that means JavaScript.
