The loans schema will track usage that includes:

  • Online renewals (sometimes recorded without a physical library associated, by library management systems)
  • E resources loans, such as ebooks and eaudio

We should update the guidance to provide information such as what library name to use in each of these situations:

  1. Suggest 'Virtual library (e-loans)' for e-resources loans
  2. Suggest 'Online catalogue (renewals)' for renewals that are made online

These two examples were used by Newcastle in early 2020 testing.
