Hello
I get this error:

Problem running Librevault service: Librevault service crashed

Same thing happens to me, and more often now than when I first installed it. It seems to crash when it can't find/connect to a remote host.

Edit: I am using Windows 7 x64 with all recent updates and the newest version of Librevault (0.1.18.11)

Same problem. New install, after 15 minutes it crashes. Any solution?

Windows 8.1 64Bit Pro, latest Librevault. Both on two hosts - one laptop, one server. Both daemons crash.

Is Librevault still being supported? The crashing is a pretty serious problem, and I'm wondering if I should wait for some sign of life or just continue using syncthing ...

I work on Librevault as hard as I can. The last version (0.1.19) is pretty old now, and I have fixed many stability issues since then, but I have some blocking issues, that deny me from releasing 0.1.20 right now:

  • I am porting Librevault client API (between sync daemon and GUI) to HTTP REST-like protocol (it requires rewriting the whole configuration stack along with half-rewriting the GUI part). This changeset is major.
  • I am completely rebuilding the Jenkins-based build server. Before this, I just can't build a new release.

Hi Aleksander, nice to hear it's still active after all :) Thanks for your great work - I really hope this will replace my syncthing stack soon!

I read in another issue that you have warmed up your build server? Does that mean you are working on a new build that prevents this crash issue? :)

Yes, I am working on crashes and stability right now.

For quite a while, I thought it was totally broken because the GUI would show me this message. Turns out, this somewhat unhelpful message can be a result of starting librevault-daemon beforehand... I notice there is an '--attach' option, but couldn't find an example url or related documentation regarding it.

So the solution in my case was to not start the daemon beforehand like a fancy-pants.

Hope that helps someone.
