Add unit tests for controller codebase

Expected behavior

The new codebase we are introducing for framework is located in framework/src/controller directory. Rest of the code in framework/src/components and framework/src/modules are pretty much the old one.

We need to add unit test coverage for every thing related to framework in framework/src/controller. These unit tests must be compatible with the new test suite.

Actual behavior

There is no uni tests for framework related code base

Which version(s) does this affect? (Environment, OS, etc...)
