Problem description

Graphviz uses an internal fallback when non-straight-line edges overlap during rendering. This warning is logged but not made visible to the user. This causes the configured connection type to be ignored and looks like it does not work properly.

Solution suggestion

Detect & propagate the fallback warning to user on the UI.
