Elypso Engine Proprietary License

Version 1.0

  1. Definitions
  • "Engine" refers to the software used to create games, distributed by Lost Empire Entertainment.
  • "Hub" refers to the program used to launch the Engine, distributed by Lost Empire Entertainment.
  • "Content" refers to any content created with the Engine, including but not limited to game assets, levels, and scripts.
  • "You" refers to the individual or entity using the Engine, Hub, or Content under the terms of this license.
  • "Lost Empire Entertainment" refers to the entity distributing the Engine and Hub under this license.
  • "Third-Party Libraries" refer to any libraries or components used in conjunction with the Engine or Hub, including but not limited to Assimp, GLFW, GLAD, GLM, etc.
  • "Jurisdiction" refers to the legal jurisdiction in which Lost Empire Entertainment operates.

  1. Grant of License

    Subject to the terms and conditions of this license, Lost Empire Entertainment hereby grants you a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use, modify, and distribute the Engine and Hub software for any lawful purpose, provided that such use, modification, and distribution do not violate any applicable laws or regulations.

  2. Use of Created Content

    You are allowed to use, modify, and distribute any Content created with the Engine for any purpose, including commercial purposes, as long as such use, modification, and distribution comply with the licenses of the Third-Party Libraries used in conjunction with the Engine or Hub.

  3. Restrictions

    You may not sublicense, sell, rent, lease, or otherwise transfer the Engine, Hub, or any modified versions thereof to any third party without the prior written consent of Lost Empire Entertainment. You may not remove or alter any copyright notices, trademarks, or other proprietary rights notices contained in the Engine or Hub. You may not use the name, logo, or trademarks of Lost Empire Entertainment to endorse or promote products derived from the Engine or Hub without prior written permission.

  4. Proprietary Rights

    The Engine, Hub, and all worldwide copyrights, trade secrets, and other intellectual property rights therein are the exclusive property of Lost Empire Entertainment. All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved by Lost Empire Entertainment.

  5. Disclaimer of Warranty

    THE ENGINE AND HUB SOFTWARE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LOST EMPIRE ENTERTAINMENT DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. LOST EMPIRE ENTERTAINMENT DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE ENGINE OR HUB SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.

  6. Termination

    This license is effective until terminated. Your rights under this license will terminate automatically without notice from Lost Empire Entertainment if you fail to comply with any term(s) of this license. Upon termination of this license, you shall cease all use of the Engine and Hub, and destroy all copies, full or partial, in your possession or control.

  7. Governing Law

    This license shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Lost Empire Entertainment operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

  8. Entire Agreement

    This license constitutes the entire agreement between you and Lost Empire Entertainment concerning the Engine, Hub, and Content and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous agreements, representations, and understandings, whether oral or written.

  9. Modifications to this License

Lost Empire Entertainment reserves the right to modify this license at any time. Any such modifications will be effective immediately upon posting on Lost Empire Entertainment's website or other designated location. You are responsible for regularly reviewing the license for updates. Your continued use of the Engine, Hub, or Content after the posting of any modifications constitutes acceptance of the modified license terms.
