v1.2.6.5

  • Added a looping mod. Ever want to play the same section over and over again, but Riff Repeater makes you pick a big section to practice?
With this mod, you can set a start point and an end point and we will loop indefinitely.
We also include a "lead up" amount where you can specify how much time you want between each loop so you're not having to jump across the fretboard in 1/100th of a second.
  • Added a rewind mod. Ever mess up a section you were just playing, and want to go back 5 seconds to redo it? With this mod, you can do just that.
  • Added a "mod" that attempts to prevent crashes caused by an Oculus / Meta headset being plugged in when launching Rocksmith.
  • Updated Direct Connect mod to add a button in the profile creation flow, so the user can select their generic cable while still doing the tutorials.
  • Fixed tuning mods (Extended Range, Auto Tune With Midi) being broken when playing in Disconnected mode
  • Added Midi PC and CC channel support, so not every command is sent to channel 0. This only effects those who are using the MIDI "Software Pedal" option of the Auto Tune With Midi mod.
  • Fixed some bugs in Riff Repeater > 100% mod.
  • Fixed Rainbow Notes mod not working
  • Fixed rare crash when entering a song
  • Completely re-wrote our communications with the Audio Engine of Rocksmith to make it easier to read, and have faster build times.

GUI:

  • Fixed crash related to the debug log not being able to be read.

  • Fixed bug that caused Song List names to be empty when opening the tool for the first time

  • Added some much-needed tooltips.

  • Fixed OEM4 ( [ ), and OEM6 ( ] ) keys not working as keybindings.

  • No user impact: Added a bunch of comments to our code to make it easier for new people to follow along.

v1.2.6.4:

  • Adds the ability to have linear Riff Repeater speeds. No longer will the gap between 95-100% feel worse than the gap between 90-95%
  • Adds the ability to play with headphones / speakers that are not set to 48kHz. This means that if you really wanted to, you could play with Bluetooth headphones ( I tried it myself, and it was terrible). We currently support 44.1kHz, 48kHz (default), 88.2kHz, 96kHz, 176.4kHz, and 192kHz, though more values can be added if your headphones require a different sample rate.
  • Remade Riff Repeater > 100% mod. This time we don't need Riff Repeater at all, and we handle all the time modifications ourselves. This fixes a lot of bugs, and results in a better time for the mod. Because we removed the need for Riff Repeater, this means you can listen to the intro of a song without it being skipped anymore. It also allows for us to give a better estimate speed, as we have direct control of the actual speed of the audio.
  • Fixes Bypass2RTC mod causing RS_ASIO's implementation of it to be disabled when the RSMods version is disabled, but the RS_ASIO version is enabled.
  • Fixes bug that causes AutoLoadProfile to not work when selecting a profile to always load.
  • Cleanup some code in the GUI to make it look nicer

-------- Previous versions ---------
v1.2.6.3:

Added mod to allow you to alt+tab while a song is playing (some restrictions apply)
Added mod that allows you to play singleplayer with 2 real tone cables connected. By default, Rocksmith normally prevents you from doing this. If you are using RS_ASIO version 0.5.7 or above, this mod will always be applied.
(GUI) Added the ability to test out sound pack sounds without needing to play a song. Just click a button, and it'll play so you can make sure it works.
(DLL) Added new DLL build option {DEBUG ONLY} that allows us to log some useful Wwise functions like SetRTPCValue and PostEvent. This is disabled on all public builds, but can be made if you compile from source.
v1.2.6.2:

Added support for Midi Auto Tuning with Software Pedals (No GUI as of now. May revisit later).
Added support for Midi Auto Tuning in the tuner. This will only work if the song is NOT a custom tuning. If it is custom tuning, then we will get the tuning when we enter the song.
Removed the ability to enter the "Profile Edits" tab
Editted some text and alignment in the GUI
Tuning pegs and tuner should use Extended Range / Custom String Colors.
Fixed GuitarSpeak Down Arrow typo, causing the key to not be pressed when playing the note
Added option to turn off song previews
Set-and-Forget Tuners in the GUI now read the colors from your Extended Range / Custom String Colors.
Added option to override the default input volume of your guitar / bass.
v1.2.6.1:

Removes "update" message from Toolkit dependency.
Allows the user to change Highway colors, and Extended range / colorblind colors on the fly (No restart required anymore).
v1.2.6.0:

Pressing Alt + Enter in game will change between full screen and windowed mode, like most modern games have it.
Better handling of alternative install locations for GUI.
Fixed cache.psarc not recompiling after making a "Set And Forget Mod" change, caused by 7zip.
Fixed Rainbow Strings not resetting their colors when toggled on, then off, with Extended Range mode turned OFF.
Changed Proxy DLL from D3DX9_42.DLL to XInput1_3.dll (see following)
Removed ability to play unlicensed content THROUGH RSMods.
Attempting to play unlicensed content (commonly referred to as CDLC) may cause your game to lock up after you tune for the song.
This is a result of RSMods removing the ability to play this type of content.
We want to move away from being the mod set that allow people to play unlicensed content, and move more towards a mod set that anyone can use.
We hope that you can see the angle that we are coming from with this change, and that no hate is meant by this change.
The code was initially added due to it being easier to start with it as a base and build our mods off of it, but we have removed most of that code now.

This may be the last major release of RSMods for Rocksmith 2014, but we do still have some other things planned when we get some free time.
