Contribution Guidelines for FIB Go

Introduction

Thank you for considering contributing to FIB Go! We value your time and effort, and to ensure that your changes are integrated smoothly, we request you to follow these guidelines.

Before making any changes, please create an issue describing the bug, feature, or improvement you want to work on. This helps us to understand the impact and discuss the best possible solutions.

Steps for Contributing

  1. Create an Issue

  2. Fork and Clone the Repository After the issue has been approved, fork the repository and clone it to your local machine.

  3. Create a Branch Create a new branch using the following naming conventions based on the type of contribution:

    • For bug fixes: bugfix/short-description
    • For improvements: improvement/short-description
    • For new features: feature/short-description
  4. Make Your Changes Work on the issue, following the standard coding guidelines and best practices.

  5. Write Tests Ensure that you write the necessary tests for your code. This is crucial for maintaining the quality of the project.

  6. Commit Your Changes Commit your changes with a meaningful commit message.

  7. Create a Pull Request Create a pull request targeting the main branch of the original repository. Make sure to link your PR to the issue you created.
