I would like an option to choose between the default video files or the uncompressed non-VP9 versions.
Is your proposal related to a problem?
Outside of visual quality concerns, no. The default video files suffer from aggressive compression artifacting which becomes apparent in scenes with a lot of movement or elaborate effects, it's really a minor cosmetic complaint but one that has already distracted me from my enjoyment of the game once or twice already.
Describe the solution you'd like
An option added to the ini to swap between the default and non-VP9 video files would be ideal, I think.
Describe alternatives you've considered
An alternative exists in the form of a Reloaded II mod but I have no intention of modding the game beyond fixes like this and therefore have no need for Reloaded II, especially considering the setup needed to run it alongside P3RFix. Considering that the files exist and from what I understand it's a handful of simple pointer changes to force the game to load the uncompressed videos, I would argue it falls well within the scope of a one-stop graphics fix like this.
