setup.py says which license the code is under. That's sufficient for my taste ;-) but I'll add explicit comments to the individual files shortly.

The main thing needed is a file named LICENSE (or COPYING, etc.) inside the repo. Just putting header comments in source files is actually not sufficient. This will make it possible for setup.py-unaware tooling like GitHub's "licensee" to detect the license you're using. This will also enable people who need to ask their employers for permission to contribute to this repo do so (such forms often require a link to the repo's LICENSE file). This is what prompted me to open this.
