kanku itself has the --offline option which makes it very easy to create new VM's even while travelling.
For a fully working setup often additional packages are required.
The idea for this blog post is to describe a full working setup including a mirror for your favorite distro and additional OBS repositories.

Steps:

• setup kanku
• setup rsync for distro/addons
• configure libvirt network
  • fake address for download.opensuse.org
• setup apache2 (alternative nginx)
