Beginner - Can't seem to properly build MDAnalysis in my virtual env

I am getting the following error while trying to install MDAnalysis in my testsuite as shown in the guide using python -m pip install -e

And then the version of MDAnalysis I get is 2.7.0 instaed of 2.7.0-dev0

Do you know if this is normal? I'm new to open source, so please be understanding. I'd appreciate it if you could explain why the build failed and how to fix it.

Hey @Odysseus707 could you try building in a fresh environment? I think you might have two version of MDAnalysis installed.
