invalid attachment returned from expansion module #389

Hi there,

I am trying to create an expansion module that will return the log file as an attachment.

The code creates an attachment, but the file being created does not contain the string.
Instead the hex dump look like this:

00000000: 30 84 8F D4-1C 93 72 1D-78 E7 - 0äÅ╘∟ôr↔xτ
