can essentia do what echonest did

Hi, while analysed essentia and echonest, I find essentia can calculate many attributes( bpm ,danceability ,loudness ,energy ,key )as echonest provided.But other attributes (like mode, time_signature, liveness, valence, acousticness ) is not provided by essentia, and instrumentalness, speechiness trained through SVM model may be differential from echonest (in essentia spechinesss=1-instrumentalness)

I wonder if essentia tried to analysis what algorithm echonest used ,and if planned to calculate the rest of attributes

Hello, the algorithms used by echonest are closed therefore we can only guess what they do. We keep in wishlist to add similar descriptors. For now we are considering adding arousal/valence. You can suggest descriptors to add to the wishlist.
