ShowProgressAsync extends autosized window content

If i set a Metrowindow to autosize to content and then requested a showMessageAsync, it expands the window width to the screen width,a nd when the message is closed the window is again resized back to the available content. and if set the window size mode to manual, it doesn't extend. I believe this is normal, but obviously it irritate the user, is there a work around to not extend the window at the time of displaying ShowMessageAsync, while in AutoSizeToContent? Let me know to elaborate more if what mentioned is not clear.
