Generates additional entities with respect spacy ner

Hi,
I'm using this package as an additional pipe in a spacy custom ner model. My issue is that I'm getting additional entities to the ones found by the ner pipe. I thought that this package would do entity linking with respect to the entities found by the ner pipe. Is it the case? If not how does it find the entities? Is it using an alternative NER that I guess is within dbpedia-spotlight API?
