To update from an earlier release simply replace the old program file with the new one.
How to run
Windows: Run LoLBuilds.exe. If you get a security warning: Click "More info" then "Run anyway".
macOS: Unzip LoLBuilds.zip and run LoLBuilds. If you get a security warning: Open System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> General -> click "Open Anyway" then "Open" (make sure "App Store and identified developers" option is checked). It may take a few seconds before the program starts in a terminal window.
