Not able to select in the options KPRao-KGP_Keyboard #1

I have successfully installed the keyboard layout and able to see it in the dropdown.
I also have LipikaIME keyboard in the list.
When I open a word document and select KPRao-KGP, it always stays in what was selected earlier.
I am even tried removing LipikaIME and selecting KPRao-KGP. Still it doesn't select this keyboard and stays in the English keyboard.
Please let me know how to resolve this issue?
