Have you been using this library successfully and does it also support doing other tasks while the mp3 player is playing or does it lock up the main loop while the player plays?

@iitgrad @McTristan Same question. Just wondering if this project/library was somewhat working before buying the adafruit music maker shield. Any updates would be super helpful :)

the whole point of this library was to get it working on the photon + playing MP3s in the background. It did these both things just fine. I had one library for the electron but switched later to the photon and found my existing library was not working anymore. With the great help of a lot of people we got it working.
I'm still using this library every day in a couple of my "photon" projects - I don't know about the music maker shield though, it should work.
I'm using the VS1053 Codec version from Adafruit together with a Class D amplifier from Adafruit.
