What's the Problem?

I can't connect my google assistant because "Connection refused to localhost". Probably because the port 5754 is not open in my router. Problem is, my router (i know how stupid it sounds) doesn't allow me to open a specific range of ports. And after checking in the settings or in the files, it doesn't seem possible to customize the port used by the assistant.

What's your solution or idea?

Add a setting allowing us to choose what port to use

Alternatives Considered

Haven't found any other alternative than changing my router and i can't do this.

App Version

v1.0.0-beta

OS Version

Arch Linux 5.19.13-arch1

Additional context

No response

Hi @maxlefou If you are getting the error "localhost refused to connect", then there's no need to worry. This issue will be resolved once the new version comes out which will be pretty soon...

Can you check if this issue still persists in v1.1.0?

Can you try opening DevTools from Settings > Developer Options > Show DevTools and check if you can see the following line in the log:

Auth handler listener started in port: 5754

PS: This line should appear at the top
