In the section Body, you can write a body for the file that will be created.

It could be interesting to enable the possibility of usage of a template too.

+1 For a template, personally I like to add a created: timestamp for when the note was created, and also change how the title in the frontmatter is named but neither is currently possible without a template file. It would be very useful to be able to just modify a template file and have the notes be exactly how one wants them. Adding tags in the frontmatter is another reason a template file would be handy. I hope you'll consider it @MichaBrugger

I believe using the Templater plugin in conjunction with this plugin is the way to go there, as opposed to implementing templates within this plugin.

I also agree with you @zacharyw

As an alternative, I use the dataview plugin to render my entire note from the frontmatter fields. It probably uses more resources executing javascript for every page, but on desktop I don't notice it. Has the added benefit of styling my notes and showing information selectively based on which shelf it is in.

Please consider implementing his feature--I love this plugin! I have custom frontmatter included in the note content, but I can't get the description field to format newlines in a way compatible with YAML without adding it as a fronmatter field, which ruins the existing frontmatter.

Adding another vote for this feature. It would mean that synchronising with 'overwrite' on could still be feasible even with additional information in the note (as long as it's part of the template).

As it is, I'm reluctant to start using it without decent template support.
