Redirect http to https #23292
Comments
@dsadsa897897r Most people use a URL rewrite to force the traffic to HTTPS. the process depends upon what kind of CDN you are using. for Azure CDN premium offering from Verizon, you can find instructions Here.. |
Thanks - is there any way of enforcing http to https redirect on Azure CDN Standard - this seems like an important feature |
Rules features similar to the URL rewrite rule Travis mentioned are not yet available for Azure CDN Standard tiers. This is in development and will be available later this spring. |
@dsadsa897897r We will now proceed to close this thread. If there are further questions regarding this matter, please tag me in your reply. We will gladly continue the discussion and we will reopen the issue. |
@TravisCragg-MSFT do you have any e.t.a. on this feature for standard tier? |
It will be available this spring, that's the most granular ETA the product team can give right now. |
We're in May now... when does "Spring" end? |
It is coming this week, documentation will be up in a few days. I will ping this thread with a link to the documentation when it is live. |
Any update on this documentation? |
Im waiting for this also. |
Any news about it? |
We need the http to https redirect, it our duty these days. Show me a single Microsoft owned property that still allows plain http. As we are running a business being able to disallow plain http is our duty to protect our customers. I can not fathom why such a basic feature can take soo long. |
Any updated on the ETA this @mdgattuso ? |
#winteriscoming |
I think we're approaching spring 2020 here soon. Can we get an updated ETA, @mdgattuso? |
I was looking for the same documentation. I think this might be what folks are looking for: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cdn/cdn-standard-rules-engine |
Once enabled, what's the best way to redirect (and force) from http to https when the CDN is pointing to a static website?
