“Azure blob storage on iot edge” for Windows AMD64, Linux AMD64 and Linux ARM32 is generally available for production workload. Please try the latest version and let us know if you see any issues. |

@SatishBoddu-MSFT re-opening for additional clarification regarding this. We want to use this docker image in our product's edge deployment which would run on customer's machine (Host OS: Windows server 2016). However a section of the above license text also indicate that the software shall not be used for any commercial or revenue-generating activities. In view of this, may you please help me with following questions -
I am asking this explicit question so as not to run into any license obligation issues at a crucial time in my project later. Thanks. |
I understand from here that Azure Blob storage container is generally available for ‘Production’ workloads.
However while working with the ‘azure-blob-storage:1.3-nanoserver-1809' docker image, we noticed a ‘License.txt’ file (also attached here for reference) placed in the docker container. Below points from the license file are not very clear to us –
What time period is being talked about here? Where do I get this information from ?
May you please clarify if this docker container is available for production use?
