How to Search for Activities

Use the Business Activity Search on the BAM Web portal to search the tracking data, also known as instances, stored in the BAM database.

The search queries against both live data for currently executing processes, as well as stored data.

To search the BAM database

  1. In Internet Explorer, in the Address box, type the URL of the BAM Web Portal.

  2. From the MyViews navigation pane, click a view to expand the view to show the task list.

  3. Click the Activity Search task to display a list of activities..

  4. Click an activity to load the activity search page in the content frame.

  5. In the Query builder choose the query parameters for the search.

  6. In the Column Chooser select the columns representing the data items to be returned in the search.

  7. Click the Execute Query button at top right of the content frame.

    The results are displayed in the Results area of the activity search contents page.

Note

You can select up to 20 columns.

Note

This release does not support grouping of logical operators.
