Intermittent connectivity #1619
Comments
@compostbrain Thanks for reporting this, and apologies for the frustrating experience. We have been working to improve our network connectivity, so it’s extremely valuable to have your logs, to see what may have been going on. When you mentioned that the connection would sometimes slow to a crawl, what side effects would you see? That file edits were synchronized very slowly between each other? |
We use slack to share screens and I can see that my pair has typed several lines but they don't show up in my vscode. Sometimes the cursor will start moving very slowly to reveal what has been typed remotely, but lagging behind by a line or two. When this happens the editor never catches back up and my remote pair ends up closing and reconnecting to the session. |
@compostbrain Looks like you also had a shared terminal in the session, and it was a really long running session. The end of the log shows that the relay listener try to keep reconnecting, indicating a network issue. Can you provide more information on the parameters of your session.. When did you start noticing this issue during your session, what operations did you do before that, how long was your session running? |
We’ve made improvements in this area since this issue was filed. We believe this may have improved your experience and are closing this issue. If this issue still persists for you, please comment on the issue and let us know. Thank you. |
