<summary>Provides the ability to obtain the account that is selected in the Microsoft Office Backstage view for the parent <see cref="T:Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook.Explorer" /> object.</summary>
<remarks>
<para>This is a .NET interface derived from a COM coclass that is required by managed code for interoperability with the corresponding COM object. Use this derived interface to access all method, property, and event members of the COM object. However, if a method or event you want to use shares the same name under the same COM object, cast to the corresponding primary interface to call the method, and cast to the latest events interface to connect to the event. Refer to this topic for information about the COM object. For information about the method and property members of the COM object, see <see cref="T:Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook._AccountSelector" />. For information about the event members of the COM object, see<see cref="T:Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook.AccountSelectorEvents_Event" />.</para>
<para>The <b>AccountSelector</b> object has the <b>Explorer</b> object as its parent object. You can obtain an instance of the <b>AccountSelector</b> object from the <see cref="P:Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook._Explorer.AccountSelector" /> property of the <b>Explorer</b> object.</para>
<para>The <b>AccountSelector</b> object provides a <see cref="P:Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook._AccountSelector.SelectedAccount" /> property that returns the current account that has been selected in the Backstage view. The object also provides a <see cref="E:Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook.AccountSelectorEvents_Event.SelectedAccountChange" /> event that fires when the user has changed the account in the Backstage view.</para>
